Ashley Babb, APR

With more than ten years of award winning experience working in public relations and tv news, Ashley specializes in collaborating with small businesses, managing community relations in local cities and spearheading public awareness campaigns as a strategic advisor and communications manager.
 

She knows what TV newsrooms are looking for in a story and can drive home a message. From interviewing politicians and celebrities to reporting on major national news, Ashley has covered news coast-to-coast for leading local broadcast stations and national networks such as FOX, CBS and NBC News. 

Her news coverage has been recognized by the Associated Press, Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards, and the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association.

 

Ashley applies her news knowledge to gaining media coverage for clients. Cool in crisis, she is frequently called on to provide a reporter’s perspective and coordinate media response. A respected media strategist and problem-solver, she has earned a far-reaching reputation for media relations. The media have long considered her a credible resource and strong advocate for objective journalism, particularly when involving issues of controversy.

She leverages her extensive media background to help companies reach their strategic public relations objectives. Her expertise includes media training, crisis management and national and local print and broadcast visibility strategies. Her public relations experience includes implementing campaigns for travel/tourism, food/hospitality, real estate, and sports clients while managing special events. Ashley also has experience in crisis communications as a spokesperson for McDonald’s®, Publix, Melbourne International Airport  and the 2010 BP Gulf Oil Spill in Alabama.


Ashley provides personalized strategy development, target audience identification, engaging events and dedicated media relations efforts to ensure that her clients' news, products and campaigns maintain top-of-mind awareness among consumers in today's fast-paced news cycle. Her work has been recognized by the American Advertising Federation, Southern Public Relations Federation, Public Relations Council of Alabama and the Florida Public Relations Association.

An accredited public relations practitioner and Public Relations Society of America certified social media strategist, Ashley is a native of the Mobile and Fairhope, Alabama areas. She enjoys being active in the community volunteering her time with many different organizations including the Public Relations Council of Alabama Mobile Chapter Board, Mobile Area Council of Engineers Board, Providence Hospital Foundation Festival of Flowers and the Junior League of Mobile.
